Charge Dispute or Adjustment
December 5 2024 10:40pm • Est. Read Time: 2 MINWhen booking a service, there is often a preauthorization hold for services confirmed with a Caregiver and for any tips you choose to add.
Preauthorization holds can appear as a duplicate charge on your bank statement, in addition to the service charge; the hold usually falls off within 24- hours of being charged, if not sooner. Multiple charges from the same business may also appear as a single hold on your bank statement.
Where can I find past service receipts?
You can access your service receipts from "Past Services" within the Wag! app.
Charge Dispute
Check the following to confirm your charge dispute is eligible to submit:
1. Review Your Schedule - Services can have a pre-authorization hold (or charge), which is usually the same as the total cost of the service.
- Please note that canceled services will not appear in the Wag! app "Schedule" tab and can be subject to a cancellation fee.
2. Check for Wag! Premium - Subscriptions for Wag! Premium are automatic recurring charges, either on a monthly or annual basis, until canceled.
3. Review Past Service History - Review your past services to confirm service dates and to view service receipts with the service pricing breakdown.
- Please note that tips can process in combination with or separately from, service charges or additional fees; this will depend on when the tip was added.
4. Compare to Bank Statement - It’s important to note that processing times will vary depending on a few factors and so it is possible that charges can reflect on your bank account within a few days of the actual charge date. Please contact your banking institution for further assistance.
Charge Adjustment
You can adjust your upcoming services by changing the number of pets selected, service type or length, date, time, or other service changes. Such changes to a service can modify the service pricing and/or incur an additional service fee. You can make changes to upcoming services from the "Schedule" tab within the Wag! app.
Please note that you can add a tip to a service during the booking process, post service when rating your Caregiver's services, or from your "Past Services" in the Wag! app. Charge adjustments for tips will only require Wag! Support assistance if the tip is being reduced or removed.
For services already in-progress or for a completed past service, those will require Wag! Support assistance to make a manual charge adjustment.
