If a Pet Parent cancels a booked service, the Cancellation Policy below will help you determine if you will be paid a cancellation payout.

Cancellation Policies

Wag!’s cancellation policy varies by service type. Please refer to the correct service type below to determine whether you’ll be paid a cancellation payout.

Walks & Drop-Ins

• No cancellation payout if a Pet Parent cancels within 30 minutes of a Pet Caregiver being confirmed for the service. 
  • Excludes ASAP services.
• A $5 cancellation payout applies if you’ve indicated “On my way” and it’s within 1 hour of the service start time when cancelled.
• Pet Parents can cancel without a fee up to 3 days before the start date.

Training Sessions

• A $10 cancellation payout applies if a Pet Parent cancels within 24 hours of the service start time. 

Sittings & Boardings

• A cancellation payout may apply if a Pet Parent cancels within 7 days of the scheduled start time.
• The exact cancellation payout will vary depending on the cost of the Sitting or Boarding service.

Cancellation Payout

If you're eligible for a cancellation payout, you'll see it in your “Earnings” tab in the Wag! app within 24 hours of the cancellation. You can choose to get paid instantly (if eligible) or wait for the next scheduled payout to receive your earnings.
