When a Pet Caregiver refers someone to the Wag! Platform, they may receive a promotional payout. Referral bonuses can be a great additional source of income!

# Referrals

####   

Pet Caregivers can refer to the Wag! Platform both new clients (Pet Parents) to book pet care services and invite others to join as Caregivers to provide pet care services.

Any time you refer someone as either a Pet Parent or as a Caregiver, it's vital that they use your applicable code or link in order to register the referral.

## Refer New Pet Parents

To refer new clients to join Wag! as a Pet Parent, follow these steps from the Wag! Pet Caregiver app:

1\. Tap **Account** from the bottom navigation bar.

2\. Tap **Referral**.

3\. Tap **Refer Pet Parents**.

4\. Copy your code by tapping on it or tap **Share code** for additional sharing options (SMS, email, copy etc.)

5\. Share your code.

Direct new clients to download the Wag! app and create an account. Once their account is created, the Pet Parent needs to apply your referral code to their in-app **Wallet**. This will register your Pet Parent referral and add you to their preferred Pet Caregivers for easy booking!

### **Pet Parent** **Referral Eligibility**

Each of your Pet Parent referrals need to be new clients to the Wag! Platform and create a Wag! account. They then need to apply your referral code to their Wag! app **Wallet** _before_ completing a service. Once it's applied, they must book and complete their first service for you to be eligible for a Pet Parent referral bonus payout. 

The Pet Parent does not need to book their first service with you for you to be eligible for the bonus. As long as they applied your referral code before completing the service, they can book their first service with any Pet Caregiver.

_**Please Note:** If the Pet Parent you refer books a service but ultimately cancels it or you refer an existing Wag! Pet Parent, you may not be eligible for the referral bonus._

## Invite New Caregivers

To refer and invite new Caregivers to join the Wag! Platform, from the Wag! Pet Caregiver app follow these steps:

1\. Tap **Account** from the bottom navigation bar.

2\. Tap **Referral**.

3\. Tap **Refer Caregivers**.

4\. On the next screen, tap **Refer Caregivers**.

5\. Select from available sharing options (SMS, email, copy, etc.).

6\. Share your link.

Direct each person you invite to use the link you provided them to begin their Pet Caregiver application. The referral is only registered by using this link; if it's not used, you may not be eligible for the referral payout.

### **Pet Caregiver Referral Eligibility**

Each person you refer to be a Caregiver must undergo the application process (including completing a background check) to be approved to join the Wag! Platform. Once approved, they need to complete 3 paid services before you're eligible for the Caregiver referral bonus payout.

## **Pet Parents**

For every new Pet Parent you refer to use the Wag! Platform, they get credit off of their first service and you can get a bonus. Once they complete their first service, you're eligible for a referral bonus payout!

The Pet Parent referral bonus payout will be sent via Stripe _within 7 days_ _of their first completed service_.

For every approved person you refer to join the Wag! Platform as a Caregiver, you could earn a bonus. Each referred Caregiver, once their application is approved, must complete 3 paid services. Once they've completed those services, you're eligible for a referral bonus payout! 

The Caregiver referral bonus payout will be sent via Stripe _within 7 days of their third completed paid service_.
